Deskripsi Gladiool IVF is an In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) clinic located in Magelang, Central Java, Indonesia that has attended to almost 2000 patients across eight islands in Indonesia. As it is well known that IVF treatments in Indonesia are rather costly, Gladiool IVF was determined to provide affordable treatments for infertile couples. The journey of Gladiool IVF thus began in 2012 with the vision “Simple and Affordable IVF”. Early on, the clinic first utilized conventional techniques of fertilization and natural stimulation, a stimulation without the use of any ovarian gonadothropin stimulation drugs. This went on until 2014 and led to a success with the birth of the first healthy baby in 2013. Until today, more than 150 babies have been born with this initial stimulation protocol. Following this success in 2014, a combination stimulation and antagonist stimulation were introduced. It was named combination stimulation as it involves stimulation drugs administered orally and via injection. On the other hand, the drugs used in the antagonist stimulation were solely administered via injection. Recently in 2023, a more enhanced stimulation named the Ananda protocol was introduced. This protocol aims to be more budget efficient without reducing the stimulation’s efficiency in terms of oocyte yield and successful pregnancies. The Ananda protocol is currently the most used protocol in Gladiool IVF, and has yielded a pregnancy rate of 53%. The journey of the Ananda protocol is documented in this atlas, where data of 60 patients were compiled. This includes the patients’ medical history, the stimulation being used, each patients’ oocyte and embryo development and the patients’ final outcomes. The images presented in this atlas represents the journey of numerous different patients and may exemplify patients’ cases in IVF clinics, allowing it to be a reference in regards to ovarian stimulation protocols as well as oocyte or embryo selection. We hope this atlas can serve as a learning reference for clinicians, embryologists and students. The evaluation and selection of oocytes and embryos serves as a crucial parameter for live birth data, assessing a clinic’s success. This atlas features high-resolution images of oocytes, zygotes, and embryos, along with detailed information regarding treatment indications, types and durations of stimulation, as well as medical histories of each couple and the final treatment outcomes. Featuring single patient cases on an individual basis, this atlas presents clinically documented case studies that depict the journey of oocytes beginning from its retrieval until the time it is ready for embryo transfer. Each case includes details regarding these oocytes’ morphology, including its pronuclei, cell and embryo morphologies. The teamwork established between clinicians and experienced embryologists has allowed the release of this atlas, allowing it to become a study reference for fellow clinicians, physicians, clinical embryologists and students in the field of reproductive medicine. |
